Santa Isabel Chile now has 104 rooms with Online Shopping and Delivery Service in the country's main cities.

The growth of e-commerce in Chile has found a fundamental ally in supermarkets, being one of the activities that leads the use of this channel by almost 70%, according to the Santiago Chamber of Commerce. But what about regions? At Santa Isabel, one of the chains with outstanding national coverage, the online sales service is present throughout Chile with operations in 104 locations, offering online shopping and delivery through the internet.

Although there is no defined date yet, it is projected that three more commercial spaces will join their ranks, expanding the coverage areas and allowing previously underserved communities to access this service and all the accompanying benefits. This establishes Santa Isabel as one of the supermarket chains with the best coverage in the country.

Furthermore, aiming to adapt to the current sanitary conditions and always prioritizing the consumer, home delivery service is available in the main cities of the country, reaching places like Limache or Victoria. Additionally, drive-through pickup is enabled in the majority of stores with e-commerce.

"We are very proud of the more than 90% coverage we have achieved with this service, almost a year after its implementation. It allows us to connect with our customers in different corners of the country and offer them the variety of quality products they deserve. We hope that shopping from our e-commerce platform will allow them to access what they need from the safety of their homes, with our home delivery service, or from the comfort of their cars, through the convenient in-store pickup format," comments Andrea Henríquez, Marketing Assistant Manager at Santa Isabel.

Thanks to the growing reach of Santa Isabel's e-commerce service, communities such as La Ligua, Quilpué, Quillota, Curauma, Limache, Coronel, Chiguayante, La Unión, Melipilla, among others, can now receive their orders at their doorsteps. This brings about a democratization of this channel in regions, with the convenience, accessibility, and variety that characterize Santa Isabel.

Star Products

With the arrival of the pandemic, the Chilean families' food basket has transformed, leading to low-priced products that maintain quality and flavor becoming preferred by consumers. In that regard, Santa Isabel has connected with the local reality of consumers by offering local and high-quality products in all its rooms, as part of its commitment to customers.

Likewise, there are certain products that are must-haves on the tables of Chileans. Santa Isabel confirmed this after mapping out the most purchased items by its e-commerce users. Beef tenderloin, chicken breast, powdered or whole milk, beer, hamburger buns, and even Hass avocados are some of the products that are frequently added to shopping carts.

"We were able to observe that the general preferences of our consumers in both the North and the South of Chile are very similar. We believe that this indicates a local consumption identity that makes us very pleased, as it speaks of convenient prices that are preferred by our customers and demonstrates that, although we are far apart, we live in a more similar way than we think," concludes Henríquez.
