Cencosud Announces Change in the Chair of its Board of Directors  

Santiago, April 23, 2026.- Cencosud S.A. (BCS: CENCOSUD, the “Company”) announced today that Julio Moura Neto will transition the Chair of the Board of Directors to Manfred Paulmann Koepfer, effective April 24, at the next ordinary Board meeting following the Company’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting, as approved at an extraordinary Board meeting held today.

Mr. Moura has served as Chairman since December 5, 2023, and will continue to serve as a member of the Board. He has been a director of the Company since September 1, 2011, and during his tenure as Chairman, he contributed to the leadership of the Board during a significant period for the Company, marked by a challenging retail environment and the need to maintain a consistent long-term strategy under a strong corporate governance framework aligned with international standards.

Mr. Paulmann has served as a director since July 31, 2021, and brings extensive experience within Cencosud Group, as well as deep knowledge of the business and the structural challenges of the retail industry across the markets in which the Company operates.

Commenting on the transition, Mr. Moura stated, “It has been an honor to chair the Board of Directors of Cencosud during this period.
